SMP Negeri 2 Bandung began around 1948 under the name Indofuropese Vereneging Kubbk School and located on Jalan Kalipah Apo. Then successively moved to Jalan Kasatriaan, Jalan Papandayan, and Jalan Babatan. The last transfer of SMP Negeri 2 Bandung was to its current location, on Jalan Sumatra, and in 1950 changed its name to SMP Negeri 2 Bandung

SMP Negeri 2 Bandung occupies the building of a former Dutch school, the Europeesche Lagere School (a low school intended for Europeans - the same level as Elementary Schools today) which was built in 1913 by the Dutch East Indies Government and has been taken over by the Indonesian government until now. Its position is approximately 400 meters south of the Bandung Mayor's Office. Photos of this school during the colonial period can be seen here

    My school is one of the best schools in Bandung. The color of my school is green. There are so many huge trees that make the air become so fresh.

    My school is large and clean.. The canteen is located at the near of mosque. My schools canteen sells a lot of foods, such as snacks, fried rice, fried chicken, noodles, batagor, and many more.

     My school also has more than 10 buildings consisting of 38 classroom, a teacher room, a science lab, a library, a mosque We have a beautiful bathroom, because we care about cleanness. in the school entrance, there is also s fountain and small garden with colorful flowers.
